Classic, charming, and with just a touch of rustic elegance, this villa is located just a few minutes from the village of Cabrieres d’Avignon. It is ideally located, with many of the region’s most wonderful towns within day trip distance. Explore nearby Gordes or Avignon, where there is a train station, as well as a TGV station outside of the city.
 

Location Description
This villa is set on a hillside above the village of Cabrieres d’Avignon, located roughly one mile, or two kilometers, from the village shops and 22 miles from Avignon. There is a beautiful unobstructed view of the valley, the Luberon Mountain and the village of Gordes. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the village of Cabrieres, a pleasant village great for leisurely strolls where you're sure to pass ancient houses dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. On your walk you'll also see the Wall of Plague, which was built to protect the people from the Comtat of the Big Plague of Marseille of 1720. A short drive from the house will take you to Gordes, a hilltop village that was a stronghold of resistance during WWII. Though much of the village was destroyed, its inhabitants have carefully restored each item to its former glory. Today, it is one of the most popular villages in Provence, with a wonderful castle, arcaded streets, museums, and musical concerts. Of course there are also all the necessary shops, as well as some good restaurants! A train station is located in Avignon should you want to travel a bit further without having to worry about driving.
