Argenta Celeste is a large stone farmhouse with private heated pool, guest house, and a pool house, providing nine bedrooms, all but two with air-conditioning, and en suite bathrooms - all surrounded by sixty acres of private land. Set high in the hills not far from Florence, near the charming village of Pelago, it benefits from magnificent views of the countryside and its villages, hamlets and the famous vineyards of the Frescobaldi estate.    

The main house and pool house date back to the 17th century and are surrounded by lawns that lead across to the pool or up the AstroTurf tennis court. A lot of attention was focused on designing the common areas for entertaining and dining; the main house has a large kitchen and large dining hall, ideal for seating 20 people for meals, leading out to the loggia which provides another dining space featuring a circular stone dining table, ideal for breakfast overlooking the spectacular valley. There is a second shaded outdoor dining area across by the pool house complete with BBQ and a second kitchen overlooking the swimming pool. 

The pool house has a games area with table tennis and on a lower level two bedrooms and a loggia. The outdoor seating is sophisticated and enjoys the best views, set just a few paces from the huge heated swimming pool furnished with loungers and plenty of shade. The guest house is further down the hill and is fully independent but is never rented on its own. It has a fantastic well-equipped kitchen and spacious living areas on the ground floor, whilst large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are on the first floor. The astroturf tennis court is set at the very top of the hill and can be used in the evening as it is fully illuminated. 

Pelago is a charming medieval village with a market, shops, and restaurants just a few minutes’ drives away. Florence can be seen in the distance and is about a 40 minute drive. It’s a great location for nature lovers as the walks are superb whilst very close by is the base from which two of our best cooks work; Pippo & Guia. They have a private restaurant just 5 minutes away from where they can offer some exquisite evening meals as well as tailored cooking classes. For those that don’t want to jump in a car to go out for a meal, they can come and cook some wonderful meals at Argenta Celeste, allowing you to dine in the comfort of your own private home.
