The house has a cold drinks fridge which is kept supplied with beer and bottled water, and a wine cellar stocked with a range of Italian wines, both of which are operated on an honesty basis.
In the main building, you will find one bedroom on the ground floor and seven more on the first floor, with two more in the delightful converted barn. All ten rooms are remarkable, with high ceilings, big windows and plenty of space to enjoy a little alone time. Seven of the rooms have wonderful ensuite facilities, all of which are modern and elegant. There are mosquito screens in each bedroom.
Outside, you will find many more cozy seating and dining areas among the olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees to relax. The 12 by 6-meter swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, the private tennis courts and of course the brilliantly equipped gym all offer guests a spot to unwind and clear the mind. There’s even a beautiful 16th-century chapel on-site, providing the perfect location for weddings.
The beautifully remote location and vast garden offer guests the utmost privacy, as well as a thoroughly tranquil atmosphere. Casa Tara is an extremely welcoming house set on a hilltop enjoying dazzling views from its sun-baked terraces and large private pool. The old farmhouse and its barn were restored and converted into a very comfortable home set in a great location to explore the very core of Tuscany. Eight air-conditioned spacious bedrooms with beautiful beamed ceilings and large living areas, not to mention a private tennis court, make this an ideal setting for a large family or group of friends. The grand French doors lead out into the garden, where a large table comfortably seating 18 lies in the shade. The furnishings are of great quality, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and the house even boasts a grand piano in the living room. Il Borgo di Petroio is a beautiful stone farmhouse with private swimming pool, set on an important 900-acre estate in the hills above Rufina, within easy reach of Florence. The large farmhouse has just been lovingly restored by the owners, using their experience as caterers and event designers for the wealthy spanning two generations added to our 25 years of experience in renting luxury villas in Tuscany. The final result is nothing short of sublime; large rooms with high whitewash beamed ceilings, air-conditioned bedrooms and contemporary en suite bathrooms are but some of the elements that make this a superb place to relax in complete style and comfort.

It lies close to the vibrant Castellina In Chianti, halfway between Florence and Siena, encompassed by warming natural scenery and quintessential Tuscan landscapes.
The old stone farmhouse is exposed to views of the rolling hills dotted with hamlets and villages within a countryside that has changed very little in the last five hundred years. The proud Florentine owners furnished the house in a very comfortable and welcoming style; there is a huge dining room when you don’t want to eat in the courtyard or under the loggia and many sitting rooms, offering lots of living space. There is a typically Tuscan kitchen that comes with a cook who prepares breakfast and evening meals (cost of ingredients excluded), whilst lunches can be arranged on order.

The five-hundred-year-old farmhouses have been restored and converted into a great home with air-conditioned bedrooms, all with luxury en suite bathrooms, a twenty-meter swimming pool, and a full-size tennis court. To enjoy the stunning views of the Tuscany countryside there are plenty of shaded outdoor living areas.
From the city stone walls, it’s just four kilometers to reach the gated drive which leads up to the villa, to the left of which is an immaculately kept vineyard that produces award-winning wine. You can park just below the villa walking into the most important room of the villa, the kitchen. The reason being that the owner is a renowned cook that has one of the oldest restaurants in the center of San Gimignano and has made the kitchen the very center of the villa.
The views are just breath-taking, and you cannot get away from them! Just outside the kitchen is a huge shaded terrace furnished with a dining table with clear views of San Gimignano for all those seated and a modern seating area with comfortable settees and armchairs enjoying views in every direction. Up by the oversized infinity-edge swimming pool and full-size tennis court, there are two loggias and umbrellas with seating areas as plenty of sunbeds. Evening swims are a must as the sun goes down and the lights of the hundreds of farmhouses, villas, and hamlets and of course San Gimignano light up.
The old stone farmhouse was built into the hillside so it has two ground floors. A sitting room and four air-conditioned bedrooms on the upper ground floor, a fifth air-conditioned bedroom, a kitchen and a dining room on the lower ground floor. The rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms, all en suite to the bedrooms. The owner has a small house on the estate where she lives alone. She ensures that everything runs smoothly and with her daughters who now run the restaurant she can offer fantastic private dinners. San Gimignano is a great location from which to explore Tuscany with so many small villages and towns to explore with Both Florence and Siena that is just under an hour’s drive. San Gimignano can get busy in the summer months so go early in the morning, or after dinner for a late walk under the stars and marvel at its medieval towers that still stand proudly.

This historic estate on the hills surrounding Florence dates to the 1200s and was originally the home of Accursio da Bagnolo, famous for having gathered the definitive publication of Justinian law. The present villa was built in 1874 by architect Leopoldo Pasqui. Today the villa has been lovingly restored and completely updated by its current owners.
